Finance Administrator – PLEASE NOTE THIS POST HAS NOW BEEN APPOINTED

Location: Medway Swale

Reports to:                    Managing Director

Hours:                           10 hours / 1½ days per week

Job purpose

Reporting to the Managing Director and liaising with the part-time CFO (Chief Financial Officer), the Finance Administrator is responsible for operating the financial systems and processes including: sales and purchase invoices, credit control and reconciliation of customer accounts, payments and bank reconciliations.

Main duties and responsibilities

  1. Importing sales invoices and credit notes on weekly/monthly basis
  2. Preparing and sending monthly summary of sales invoices to Medway Council
  3. Posting and coding purchase invoices
  4. Preparing payments for approval and entering in banking system
  5. Undertaking credit control to maintain debtors at as low a level as practicable
  6. Reconciling customer accounts, including allocating receipts and resolving queries
  7. Posting of cash receipts and payments
  8. Reconciling bank accounts
  9. Managing cash flow forecasts on a daily basis for the following month
  10. Financial and management accounting: assisting the CFO in preparation of monthly management accounts
  11. Preparation of year end information for accountants and liaising over queries
  12. Preparing balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
  13. Ensuring that the accounting software meets the company’s needs
  14. From time to time, the Finance Administrator may be required to undertake other duties as required by the Managing Director or CFO.

Qualifications

  • The Finance Administrator is required to have an excellent understanding and experience of financial processes and systems
  • Ideally qualified AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians).

Personal attributes

The position requires:

  • Knowledge of financial and bookkeeping practices
  • Exposure to accounting software packages, preferably Sage
  • An organised and methodical approach to record keeping and reporting
  • Honesty and discretion when handling confidential financial information
  • Computer literacy, including competence with excel, and excellent numeracy skills
  • An enthusiastic and strong customer service ethic
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated but equally work well in a team setting

The Finance Administrator is required to work with minimal supervision but in close liaison with other members of staff.

Evening Care Workers – Gillingham

Location: Gillingham

Full time evening care Worker

Everycare Medway Swale are looking for evening care workers to join our friendly team in Gillingham. This important home care role provides our clients with the opportunity to continue living independent lives. Experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.

Our care worker team is based in a single location with a range of clients who require variable levels of support including:

  • Personal care
  • Medication
  • Domestic help
  • Help with meals and cooking
  • Shopping

Our evening shifts start at 4pm and finish at 10pm and care workers are also required to work every other weekend.

We are looking for people who have a passion for delivering the highest quality of care.
