Everycare Edinburgh’s Managing Director, Martin Walker, was delighted to be presented with the High Growth Company of 2014 Award, sponsored by Santander, at the prestigious WeDo Scotland annual award ceremony which took place recently at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in the city.
Speaking after the event, Martin said:
“I’m thrilled to bits to have been awarded this tremendous accolade, particularly when it has been evident that the field was so strong this year. I know that we’re doing good things and making a real difference and that’s extremely rewarding on an emotional level. However, to have received recognition from my peers in the business community for what we have achieved means a great deal to me. Of course, none of it would have been possible without having a fantastic team around me, and I’d like to send a massive thank you to each and every one of them too!”
“When we opened for business in Edinburgh in 2011, I stated that my aim was for Everycare Edinburgh to be universally recognised as the pre-eminent provider of quality care at home services in the city. This award, coming at the same time that our Regulator, The Care Inspectorate, announced that it was awarding us their highest grades in 5 out of 6 Quality areas they recently looked at, demonstrates that we’re right on track .
The only companies that achieve growth are those that are well managed, provide a great service and have satisfied customers. In just 4 years, we have grown dramatically. However, this growth has been carefully managed, allowing us to maintain the quality service for which we are now widely recognised.”
WeDO is one of Scotland’s most exclusive support and collaboration organisations for the business community and its membership includes some of Scotland’s leading entrepreneurs. It’s annual awards ceremony is one of the highlights of the entrepreneurial calendar.
Leading city care provider, Everycare, is delighted to announce an official sponsorship partnership with Carlton Cricket Club for the 2014 season.
The deal will see Everycare Edinburgh’s logo on team playing shirts and non match day training kit. As the principal club sponsor, Everycare will also benefit from branding within Carlton Cricket Club’s ground at Grange Loan. The sponsorship package also includes prominent coverage within club match programmes, the club’s membership booklet and also on the highly-regarded Carlton Cricket Club website.
Commenting on the agreement, Everycare Edinburgh Managing Director Martin Walker said:
“Carlton Cricket Club fulfils all the criteria I was looking for in a sponsorship arrangement. Attending to the needs of people in their own homes with varying degrees of physical impairment, I particularly wanted to team up with a sporting organisation as a counterbalance. Cricket is not considered a “mainstream” sport in Scotland and, as the first Everycare branch in Edinburgh, this appealed to me as Everycare Edinburgh is a little bit out of the ordinary in our quality approach to care provision and, with our client base in the community, I was also looking to invest in an activity with strong community ties. Further, having celebrated its 150 year anniversary last year, Carlton Cricket Club’s illustrious heritage was attractive as Everycare Edinburgh’s espoused values are highly traditional. I am looking forward to having a long and mutually beneficial relationship with the Club.”
Speaking about the relationship, Carlton Cricket Club President, Andy Macpherson, said:
“We are very pleased to have Everycare on board. Having funded the electrification of our scoreboard last year, we are thrilled that Everycare Edinburgh has agreed to be our main sponsor for the 2014 season and we look forward to working closely with them going forward.”
Martin Walker is pictured with new 1st XI captain Gordon Drummond in the new training kit. The sponsorship deal has helped Carlton to continue its emphasis on providing top quality coaching, with the club delighted to secure the services of ex-Scotland Head Coach Peter Steindl for the season. Carlton is sure its many promising home-grown youngsters will benefit greatly from his vast coaching experience.
Everycare Edinburgh provides care services to clients at home and offers a wide range of options that can be individually tailored to meet specific client requirements. These include all types of personal care, companionship, sleepovers and night sitting, convalescence support, bathing, meal preparation, excursions and outings, domestic help, laundry, errands and shopping. The care team has considerable experience supporting people with dementia and care can be provided at any time of the day or through the night.
Owned and operated by Martin Walker, and part of a national network of 23 branches, Everycare Edinburgh opened in 2011 as the first Everycare office in Scotland and, since taking on its first client in June of that year, has quickly established itself as one of the city’s leading care providers. Following a recent unannounced inspection, The Care Inspectorate, rated Everycare Edinburgh as being “Very Good” for the quality of care it provides, “Very Good” for the quality of its staff and “Very Good” for the quality of its management.
Everycare Edinburgh provides further evidence that – across the UK – Everycare has, arguably, a better reputation for the quality of care provided to its clients than any other national provider.
Everycare UK, the Cardiff based domiciliary and nursing care group celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2013 with exciting growth plans in both the UK and abroad.
Following a strategic review of the business, the company is now taking forward its plan to expand its network of franchisees not only in targeted geographical areas across the UK, but also worldwide where it launched in 2013 an international master franchise opportunity at the Arab Health Exhibition and Congress in Dubai.
The company now has over 20 regional franchised offices across the UK offering a range of personal home care and live-in care services as well as providing healthcare staffing services to a range of organisations including the NHS, HMS Prisons, Ministry of Defence, residential care homes, industry and private nursing organisations.
Managing Director, Mary Cottrell, commented “Our expertise in the UK in providing domiciliary and nursing care is widely respected around the world which has seen our business expand both at home and abroad.
In the UK the franchise network goes from strength to strength with over 20 franchises across England, Scotland and Wales with the most recent Everycare franchises opening in Hillingdon supporting Uxbridge, Ruislip, Pinner, Hayes and the surrounding areas and Mid Sussex supporting Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, East Grinstead and the supporting areas.
Everycare is looking to extend its franchise network across the UK, doubling the number of regional offices by the end of 2015 whilst at the same time developing new services that compliment its core domiciliary and nursing activities. “Our recent strategic review has highlighted huge opportunities for Everycare which we are now developing. Our strength has always been the provision of quality services which can be relied upon across the network, it is this strong service foundation that attracts both clients to our services and potential franchisees both here and worldwide” comments Mary Cottrell.
The 20th anniversary was celebrated by a special event in Cardiff at Chapel 1897. As well as being the 20th anniversary of Everycare UK, the occasion also coincided with the 30th anniversary of the Everycare UK business owners (Rob and Mary Cottrell) commencing their residential nursing homes business in Cardiff.
